National Agricultural Fieldays are coming up fast, and in the weeks leading up Holden have released a shiny new, black, special edition of the Colorado.

Having already received high praise for its tech-laden interior, all-round functionality and hugely bettered drivability, the Colorado is only going up. This new 'Blackout' edition distances itself from the standard model by adding a range of genuine accessories as well as that crisp dark paint job.

“We launched the new Holden Colorado to Kiwi motorists six months ago and it has not only received rave reviews but has also attracted significant attention from people desiring a viable alternative in the light commercial segment,” said General Manager Marketing, Marnie Samphier.

“When Colorado was released in New Zealand, part of the appeal was the huge number of Genuine Holden Accessories available with the new model – almost 80 in total,” said Ms Samphier. “As part of our Fieldays campaign, we decided to build a ‘one stop truck’ and feature a selection of these accessories. As such, the Blackout Edition is adorned with front and rear flare guards, an extended sports bar, sport guard liner, steel side steps, 18” rims and tyres, LED light bar as well as a nudge bar.

“A unique, understated Blackout bonnet decal completes the overall look of the great looking new truck and we anticipate it will receive a huge amount of attention when it takes pride of place on our stand at Fieldays. “It’s a truck which means business but also looks the business, and is more than capable of doing its fair share when it comes to getting down to business.”

The special edition is only available throughout May and the Fieldays month of June and is available now at participating Holden dealers around the country. Based on a Colorado LS 4x2 manual, the Blackout model has a RSP from $39,990 + GST + ORC. Looking its best in black, the Blackout accessory kit can be applied across all colours in the Colorado range.
