The new Volvo 9900 premium coach has won the 2019 “Sustainable Bus Award” which was presented to the brand at a ceremony during the IAA transport and mobility trade show in Hannover.

The award takes into account environmental performance as well as other sustainability aspects such as safety, comfort, noise level, recyclability and the manufacturer’s general environmental performance.

“It is an honour to receive the Sustainable Bus Award 2019. The choice of winner shows that the jury has really taken the overall picture into account.” says Volvo Buses head of Europe business region Ulf Magnusson.

The Volvo Group was well represented at the trade fair. As well as Volvo Buses, Volvo Trucks, Renault Trucks and Volvo Financial Services presented their vehicles and services.

At IAA Volvo Trucks presented its view of future transport solutions, including Vera, an electrified autonomous vehicle. Volvo Trucks also presented the Volvo FL Electric and Volvo FE Electric and the Volvo FM LNG and Volvo FH LNG natural gas trucks.

Renault Trucks exclusively presented its new 100% electric Z.E. range in Hanover and it was also displayed vehicles from its Euro 6 range, together with its latest research and development work.

Volvo Financial Services presented financial solutions to customers at each of the brands exhibition sites.
